Rigid Polyurethane co-moulded with Flexible Polyurethane is a hybrid solution that combines two polyurethane formulations within a single monolithic component. Through the co-moulding process, the Rigid Polyurethane acts as the structural core, while the Flexible foam forms the outer layer. The result effectively combines the support and mechanical stability of the rigid core with the superior comfort, softness and ergonomics of the flexible layer.
Rigid Polyurethane is produced through a high-pressure moulding process, resulting in a material characterised by high density and strong mechanical support.
This technology is used for the production of components that require rigidity, dimensional stability and structural strength, such as chair shells, furniture shells or technical inserts. The result is a self-supporting and durable product, often capable of replacing metal or wood, while offering design versatility and cost optimisation.
